Where to find Fire Slimes in Slime Rancher 2

If you’re trying to heat things up at your farm, you’ll want to grab yourself some Fire Slime in Slime Rancher 2!

Slime Rancher 2 will have you wrangling slimes, feeding them, and selling what comes out of them for big profits. As you embark on your adventure, you will no doubt want to unlock and discover everything the game has to offer. If you’re looking to locate yourself some Fire Slimes, we’ll tell you exactly where you need to go in the game.

How to get Fire Slimes in Slime Rancher 2

To find Fire Slimes in Slime Rancher 2, you will need to head to Ember Valley Island into either cave inside of the volcano or to the lava fields nearby. These are both located on the western side of the island, where Fire Slimes can be found in lava pools and smoldering ash.

Ember Valley Island can be unlocked by popping the Pink Gordo. Once you’ve arrived at the island, just continue west and you will eventually run into the volcano and lava fields. They can be a dangerous place as touching the lava will deal damage to your character.

These areas are also home to Crystal, Boom, and Batty Slimes which can make for good profit generating options at your farm.

Boom And Fire Slimes

While Boom and Fire Slimes are largely found in the same area, they differ greatly in terms of how you need to take care of them. Fire Slimes can only live in Lava or Ash. You can’t bring lava back to your base currently, but you can create Ash. To do so, you need an Incinerator and you need to purchase the upgrade for it known as an Ash Trough.

Once you have an Incinerator and Ash Trough, you can place your Fire Slimes inside the trough and they will survive. If you want them to continue to produce Fire plorts, you will need to shoot extra items or food into the Incinerator so that it creates ash for them to eat!

If you’ve located the Magma Pool decoration item and are wondering if your Fire Slime can survive in it… The answer is yes, they will live in the pool, however, they won’t produce Fire plorts. They can only produce the plorts if they consume ash, which is only available in the Incinerator!

Fire plorts are pretty valuable, so you’ll likely want to have at least one Incinerator going that you can use to destroy things and collect easy money from.
