Where to read Haikyuu Special One-Shot Chapter

As part of Haikyu’s tenth anniversary celebration, the manga series returns with a new special one-shot chapter, titled “Haikyuu!!: Tokubetsu Bangai-hen – Matsuri Futatabi,” which will be published on April 24th. Although Haikyu ended a few years ago with a total of 402 chapters, the shonen manga series is set to surprise fans with upcoming projects for its tenth anniversary celebration in 2022.

Haikyu is a sports shonen manga series illustrated and written by Japanese author Haruichi Furudate. The story follows Shoyo Hinata, a boy determined to become a great volleyball player despite his small stature. A serialized version of Haikyu was released in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in February 2012. Meanwhile, the anime television series adaptation of Haikyu premiered in April 2014 and has now aired over four seasons, with a fifth season possibly coming later this year in Winter 2022.

During the Jump Festa 2022, it was reported that ten major projects are in works to celebrate Haikyu’s tenth anniversary, with the new one-shot chapter being the fourth. As of now, only four projects have been revealed, with six more projects to be announced. For the first three projects, Haruichi Furudate published an official artwork of the characters’ 2022 version, the Haikyu Exhibition FINAL was held in Tokyo, and a radio web-drama, titled “Karasuno High School Broadcasting Club,” was broadcasted.

Early reports claim that the Haikyuu!!: Tokubetsu Bangai-hen – Matsuri Futatabi one-shot chapter would consist of 19 pages and will focus on Nekoma’s former captain, Tetsuro Kuroo, hosting a volleyball match for his old high school friends, who are now top players in the world in the year 2022.
